What should be documented in the medical record when therapy treatment is disrupted because of COVID-19? For example, in my facility essential therapy staff are unavailable to treat because they are on a 14 day quarantine.
A:
In many cases, therapy services are being impacted as a result of efforts to minimize resident exposure, due to staffing disruptions and/or as part of PPE conservation efforts. Proactive has developed a documentation tip sheet that addresses many of these issues.
