Proactive is simply outstanding in my book. Their expertise in all the complex and ever changing issues that we deal with in long-term care has been invaluable to us. I don’t know what we would have done without the templates, policy review, guidance and training they were able to provide. They went above and beyond to help us through a very serious and urgent matter with a State Survey and for that I will be eternally grateful. On top of all that, each time I have contacted Proactive with a question or a need, their response time has been downright impressive. We will not hesitate to call on Proactive any time we are faced with a challenge that requires more expertise or resources than we have in-house.

Ask Proactive – Our social worker attempted to complete the BIMS with a resident, but the resident refused to answer the questions. As a result, the social worker coded all responses in C0200, 0300 and 0400 as “0” with a BIMS Summary Score of “00” at C0500. This seems odd because the resident’s previous BIMS scores have been 14 or15. When I interact with the resident, I don’t observe any cognitive decline, and the staff report no concerns either. Is this BIMS coding correct?
