Prior to the webinar event(s) you will receive an email directly from GoTo™ Webinar with log in instructions. Registration is good for one individual to attend the live workshop and receive CEUs through the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
Course Description
Wound care in post-acute settings presents assessment, treatment and documentation challenges for the nursing team. This workshop is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the essential knowledge and skills needed for implementing a comprehensive and effective wound care management system. Participants will be prepared to meet the CMS wound related requirements in the areas of assessment, MDS coding, CAA and care plan development, as well as prevention and treatment of pressure associated wounds.
Learning Objectives
- Recognize the essential elements of a thorough and accurate skin/wound assessment.
- Identify the MDS coding requirements for wounds.
- Review essential information to provide to the MD when providing wound notification.
- Become familiar with the common assessment and documentation pitfalls that can result in poor clinical outcomes, survey deficiencies and potential litigation.

Contact Hours
Up to 4 hours Nursing CE hours through Kentucky Board of Nursing. Proactive Medical Review & Consultants, LLC is an approved provider of continuing education by the Kentucky Board of Nursing, #5-0065. To receive contact hours, you must complete the entire program. Certificates may be printed once the program evaluation is submitted. Cancellations
Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to info@proactivemedicalreview.com. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted. Cancellations received no later than 24 hours before the webinar start time will receive a full refund. Registrants who do not attend or who do not complete the full seminar will not receive a refund unless prior written notice is given to the Proactive Medical Review office. Attendance for the full workshop required to receive certificate of attendance at close of the event. Partial attendance may be granted based on time actually attended.
