This 4-session series provides actionable insights and resources to bolster retention of nursing staff and other healthcare professionals. Participants will receive information on evaluating key risk factors for staff exiting employment with strategies to perform root cause analysis and prioritize retention interventions. Series content will include methods for measuring staff engagement and empowerment–which are potential indicators of staff job satisfaction and a measure of risk of leaving an organization. In addition, tangible action planning to promote improvement in these areas will be covered based on current research. Considerations for launching a successful nursing career advancement pathway will be discussed along with strategies for addressing the growing deficit in new nurse leaders prepared to replace retiring DONS and those in other nurse leadership roles. Through a combination of expert instruction, practical examples, participant engagement opportunities and actionable strategies, this series will provide a catalyst to implement a step in the right direction toward your facility’s staff retention goals.
