Overview
An updated version of the MDS 3.0 (version 1.19.1) was implemented October 1, 2024, and what better time to review MDS essentials and ensure reimbursement accuracy. This session will provide an introduction to the RAI and review the MDS item sets applicable to non-CAH Swing Bed facilities. Day 1 will consist of accurately scheduling and completing swing bed MDS assessments with a focus on RAI coding requirements and tips for special populations. Day 2 will include an in-depth review of the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) and the SNF Quality Reporting Program (QRP) as it pertains to non-CAH swing beds.
