Wound care in post-acute settings presents assessment, treatment and documentation challenges for the nursing team. This webinar series is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the essential knowledge and skills needed for implementing a comprehensive and effective wound care management system. Participants will be prepared to meet the CMS wound related requirements in the areas of assessment, MDS coding, CAA and care plan development, as well as prevention and treatment of pressure associated wounds. In this third presentation in a 6-part series, insights will be shared into the key elements of wound-related care planning. Tips and strategies will be discussed for effectively addressing resident wounds without excess duplication of interventions, and best practices for keeping wound care plans current and up-to-date as the wound heals.
